AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD PROVIDING
FOR PARKING FOR ESTABLISHMENTS SELLING FOOD OR
BEVERAGES TO BE CONSUMED ON THE PREMISES AND
AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 9100 of Chapter 1 of Article IX
of the Rosemea unicipal Code is hereby amended by amending
subsection (a-9) thereof to read:
"(a-9) Every premises or structure or part
of a premises or structure in any zone, designed for
or intended to be used primarily as a place where food
and/or beverages is sold, served, given, or furnished
to be consumed on such premises or in such structure,
shall provide off-street parking for use exclusively
by the patrons of such premises or structure with the
number of parking spaces for such patrons to be de-
termined by the number of persons which said premises
or structure is furnished and equipped to accommodate,
in the following ratios:
(a) One parking space for every four persons
from 1 to 160;
(b) One parking space for every six persons
from 160 to 250;
(c) One parking space for every ten persons
in excess of 250.
Such parking area shall be on or contiguous to the
premises in and upon which such premises or structure
is located, or shall be easily accessible thereto and
within a reasonable distance therefrom, and signs
indicating the availability of such parking area for
patrons of such premises or structure shall be posted
in a conspicuous place on or roar the exterior of such
premises or structure and at such parking area. If
such parking area is not on or contiguous to said premises,
• the owner, operator, or person in charge of the premises
shall submit a plat of such parking area to the City
Administrator showing the location and design of such
parking area and its accessibility to such premises or
structure. If the City Administrator finds that such
parking area is located within a reasonable distance
from and is easily accessible to said premises so as to
provide parking for the patrons thereof, the City Ad-
ministrator shall approve the Oame. If the City Admini-
strator shall not approve such parking area within 15
days after the submission of a plat thereof as herein-
above provided, such owner, operator, or person in
charge of such premises or structure may appeal to the
City Council, and the City Council's decision shall be
final and conclusive."
