RE: GARVEY PARK CLUBHOUSE/SHERIFF' S SUB-STATION - CHANGE
ORDER NO. 1
The Contractor for the Garvey Park Clubhouse/Sheriff ' s Sub-Station,
Oceanstate Development Co. , has encountered some problems primarily
due to termite and/or dry rot damage in the old building.
The Architect has reviewed the conditions and requested the
Contractor provide a cost estimate to correct the problems (see
attached) . Of the eight (8) items listed on the Contractor's
proposal:
A) Four (4) are to repair dry rot/termite damage
B) Two (2) are needed to resolve some structural problems and,
C) Two (2) items involved removing the original planter that
was found to be beyond repair.
Attached is the Contractor ' s cost estimate and approved Change Order
from the Architect.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Rosemead Redevelopment Agency approve
Change Order No. 1, in the amount of $ 5, 710 . 00 .

1. Remove and replace plywood and existing roof(rotten at West side). $480.00
2. Install plywood around building as needed. $1,820.00
3. Install additional 4x16 wood beam and framing. New structural design for
Existing west bearing wall, and east bearing wall at hallway area. $900.00
4. Remove front planter, veneer bottom areas, complete. ;$980.00
5. Credit for repairing front planter, as per plan. $<500.00>
6. Close-in windows. install exterior veneer and drywall. Remove interior wood
paneling & repair drywall as needed. $920.00
