Ordinance No. 102 - Temporary Interim Zoning Ordinance0 6 ORDINANCE NO. 102 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD AMENDING THE TEMPORARY INTERIM ZONING ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE PARKING AREAS FOR ESTABLISHMENTS SELLING FOOD OR BEVERAGES TO BE CONSUMED ON THE PREMISES. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section:]. Chapter 1 of Article 9 of the Rosemead Municipal -Code, ection 9100 thereof, is hereby amended by adding a new sub-section (a-9) thereto, to read; (a-9) Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions of sub- section (a) of this Section 9100, Article 1 of Chapter 7 of the Zoning Ordinance of the County of Los Angeles, hereinabove adopted by reference as the temporary interim zoning ordinance of the City of Rosemead, is hereby amended by adding new Section 741.5 thereto,to read, as follows: "Every premises or structure or part of a premises or structure designed for or intended to be used pri- marily as a place where food or beverages is sold, served, given, or furnished, to be consumed on the premises, in any zone, shall provide off-street park- ing for use exclusively by the patrons of such premises, or structure with a number of parking spaces equal to at least one-fourth of the number of persons, up to 240 such persons, but not more than 60 parking spaces are required unless said area is furnished and equipped to accommodate more than 300 such persons, in which case additional parking shall be so provided at the ratio of 1 parking space for each 6 persons in excess of 300 which said premises are furnished and equipped to accommodate. Such parking area shall be on or contiguous to the premises in and upon which such premises or struct- ure is located, or shall be easily accessible thereto and within a reasonable distance therefrom, and signs in- dicating the availability of such parking area for patrons of such premises or structure shall be posted in a conspicuous place on or near the exterior of such • premises or structure and at such parking area. If such parking area is not on or contiguous to said premises, the owner, operator, or person in charge of the premises shall submit a plat of such parking area to the City Administrator showing the location and design of such parking area and its accessibility to such premises or structure. If the City Administrator finds that such parking area is located within a reasonable distance from and is easily accessible to said premises so as to provide parking for the patrons thereof, the City Admin- istrator shall approve the same. If the City Administ- rator shall not approve such parking area within 15 days after the submission of a plat thereof as hereinabove provided, such owner, operator, or person in charge of such premises or structure may appeal to the City Council, and-the City Council's decision shall be final and conclusive. 1962.
