BEACH
Attached for your consideration is information regarding the aforementioned conference. This
year's program will include such topics as on Facing the Information Age- GIS/Imaging/Internet,
Navigating the Legislative Process, and Records Management. As always, the sessions provide
educational instruction in subjects beneficial to the City Clerk's office as well as City Hall itself
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Rosemead City Council authorize the attendance of the City Clerk at
this conference.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Whether you are an experienced, new, or up-and-coming City Clerk, you will find
valuable information in each session. The program will include sessions on how
to make the most of conferences, the use of Geographic Information Systems for
City Clerks, issues facing elected clerks, navigating legislative waters, and other
information to help you in your day to day work.
CERTIFICATION
The City Clerk's Association of California Annual Conference has been accepted
by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (MC) for education points. A
Certificate of Completion will be included in the materials handed out at the
conference. In order to be eligible for AAE or CMC credit, participants must be
present during the entire conference and have their Dance Card stamped at each
session.

conference. Final touches are being made to the program, so please consider this tentative
information. There will be two tracks offered, both of which will be eligible for CMC credits and for
Advanced Academy credits. For Advanced Academy credits you must attend one entire Track.

a number of remarkable public murals in Visalia, Tulare, and Exeter. You will be able to explore
these local areas during the week or on Saturday if you choose to stay.
