RE: RESOLUTION NO. 99-15 - RIVERS CONSERVANCY LEGISLATION
Pursuant to the direction taken by the City Council on April 13, 1999, staff has prepared Resolution
No. 99-15 to state the City of Rosemead's concerns regarding the proposed"Rivers Conservancy"
legislation now being considered by the Legislature. Upon approval, the Resolution will be
forwarded to all member cities of the San Gabriel Valley and Gateway Cities Councils of

by a newly formed conservancy. To date, we are not aware of any specific projects sought by any
of the principals sponsoring this legislation. Therefore, staff is not able to speculate on the nature
or content of any proposed conservancy projects.
