Minutes of June 16, 1969
An adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Rosemead was
held in the City Hall, 8838 East Valley Boulevard. The meeting was
• called to order by Mayor Andersen at 7:35 o'clock a.m.
Mayor Andersen ordered formalities dispensed with. -
ROLL CALL
Present: Councilmen: Andersen, Maude, Taylor, Whiddon
Absent: Councilmen: Pike
Ex officio: Andersen, Gunn; Laudenslayer, Street
Councilman Pike entered the meeting at 7:37 o'clock a.m.
BUDGET STUDY CONTINUED
Law Enforcement
_ • it was moved by Councilman Maude, second by Councilman Taylor, and
carried, that this account be approved as proposed.
Roll Call Vote as follows:
AYES: Councilmen: Andersen, Maude, Pike, Taylor
NOES: Councilmen: Whiddon
ABSENT: Councilmen:. None
it was concurred amongst the Council that the Community Relations Officer
be directed to submit a weekly activities report.
Building Regulations
There being no objections it was so ordered that this account be approved
as proposed.
Public Works Department
There being no objections it was so ordered that Account No. 12b Private
Engineers be changed from $1,000.00 to $5,000.00 and this account
• approved as proposed.
Sewer Maintenance
There being no objections it was so ordered that this account be approved
as proposed.
Street Construction Design and Construction Engineering
it was moved by Councilman Maude, second by Mayor Andersen, and unanimously
carried, that this Account be approved as proposed, with proviso that
Account No. 60, Rosemead Boulevard Median Landscaping, be a no action item
until further Council approval.
Street and Bridge Maintenance
• There being no objections it was so ordered that this account be approved
as proposed.

There being no objections it was so ordered that this account be approved
as proposed, with correction to be made in the 1968-1969 Estimated Actual,

Street Lighting
• There being no objections it was so ordered that this account be approved
as proposed.
Councilman Maude recommended that the Street Lighting Districts be
revaluated.

Community Promotion
Mr. Bob PickreI, President of the Rosemead Chamber of Commerce, presented
the Chamber's proposed budget for 1969-70, requesting City to increase
the amount of their annual contract to $16,200 - an increase of $100.00
per month.
There being no objections approval of the foregoing account was deferred
at this time.
Mayor Andersen declared the meeting'adjourned to a Personnel Session,
June 17, 1969 at 7:30 o'clock p.m.
