Minutes of June .11, 1969
An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Rosemead was held in the City Hall, 8838 East Valley Boule-
vard. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Andersen at
7:35 o'clock a.m.
Mayor Andersen ordered formalities dispensed with.

BUDGET STUDY
It was moved by Councilman Maude, second by Councilman Pike, and
unanimously carried, that a policy be established whereby the
City advertise for bids on projects wherever feasible and
reasonable,.
It was moved: by Councilman Maude, second by Councilman Taylor,
and unanimously carried, that attendance at all meetings in excess
of $25 or half-day work time, although appropriated i.n the budget,
be authorized on an individual basis at the time of said meeting,
City Administrator Gunn presented the 1969-70 Preliminary Budget
by account.
City Council
There being no objections it wa. so ordered that account No. 51,
travel and meeting expense, be changed from $2500,00 to $6000,00,
and this account approved as proposed,

There being no objections it was so ordered that account No, 51,
travel and meeting expense, be changed from $500,00 to $700,00,
that California Contract Cities be added to the narrative, and,

City Attorney Watson presented and read in full this resolution;

It was moved by Councilman Maude, second by Councilman Pike, and
unanimously carried, that Resolution No, 69-32 be adopted,
ORDINANCE NO. 266. MORATORIUM ON THEATRES, URGENCY.-
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DECLARING
A MORATORIUM ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THEATRES AND AMENDING THE
ROSEMEAD MUNICIPAL CODE.
City Attorney Watson presented and read in full this ordinance.
..It was moved by Councilman Maude, second by Councilman Pike, and
carried, that Ordinance No. 266 be adopted,
