TRIPEPI, EXECUTIVE DIRECTO DATE: OCTOBER 6, 1999 RE: GARVEY SCHOOL DISTRICT LE 1 1 ER CONCERNING PURCHASE OF REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY PROPERTY (EGLEY&NEW AVENUES) Attached for Redevelopment Agency Boardmembers' review and consideration is correspondence from Dr. H.Alex Yusem, Superintendent,Garvey School District, expressing the District's interest in acquiring an agency-owned R-3 zoned parcel (Assessor's Parcel Number 5285-005-913) located at the corner of Egley and New Avenues. The subject property was purchased for street widening purposes by the Rosemead Redevelopment Agency in September 1986. With the street improvements completed, the excess portion of the parcel -roughly 4,500 square feet- is no longer required for agency purposes.
