The meeting was called to order by Mayor Whiddon at 3:00 o'clock p.m. ROLL CALL Present: Councilmen: Pike, Taylor, Whiddon Absent: Councilmen: Andersen, Maude E1 officio: Byers, Hersh, Street, Winfield Mayor Whiddon ordered formalities dispensed with. RESOLUTION NO. 68-84. ESTABLISHING RATES OF STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD LEVYING A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT TAX WITHIN THE ROSEMEAD STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT. O Administrative Assistant Street presented this resolution by title only and explained the tax rate. Councilman Maude arrived at 3:04 o'clock p.m. Following discussion, it was moved by Councilman Pike, second by Mayor Whiddon, that Resolution No. 68-84 be adopted. Roll call vote as follows: AYES: Councilmen: Maude, Pike, Taylor, Whiddon NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: Andersen W It was moved by Councilman Maude, second by Councilman Taylor that the City property tax rate be zero. Roll call vote as follows: AYES: Councilmen: Maude, Pike, Taylor, Whiddon NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Counsilmen: Andersen It was moved by Councilman Maude; second by Mayor Whiddon, that the Rosemead Recreation and Park District property tax rate be zero. Roll call vote as follows- AYES: Councilmen: Muade, Pike, Taylor, Whiddon NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: Andersen ® 2. RESOLUTION NO. . CLAIMS AND DEMANDS Attorney Winfield advised the Council that State law prohibits this resolution being adopted at a special meeting. cc Pagel August 23, 1968 ORDINANCE NO i J 0 9 0 0 . EXTENDING LOT SPLIT MORATORIUM. Planning Director Hersh advised the Council this matter needed to be set for public hearing and recommended September 10. Mayor Whiddon ordered public hearing set for September 10, 1968 if there were no objections. There were no objections. It was moved by Councilman Maude, second by Councilman Taylor, and unanimously carried, that the meeting adjourn.
