EMPLOYEE RELATIONS INSTITUTE, JANUARY 27-28, 2000,
SANTA BARBARA
Attached for your consideration is information regarding the aforementioned conference. There
will be sessions on Binding Arbitration, Employee Discipline, PERS, Employment Discrimination,
and Recruitment and Retention. Staff has attended this conference in the past and it has proven to be
of benefit to the community. In addition, the City Manager is a member of the Employee Relations
Committee of the League of California Cities.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the attendance of the City Manager, City Attorney,
and staff as designated by the City Manager.
