RE: REQUEST FROM THE ROSEMEAD YOUTH ASSOCIATION TO HANG
BANNER ACROSS VALLEY BOULEVARD AT WALNUT GROVE
Attached for your consideration is a letter from the Rosemead Youth Association requesting
permission to hang a Baseball\Softball Sign-up Banner across Valley Boulevard at Walnut Grove
Avenue. It would be up from December 27, 1999 through January 15, 2000. The Council has
approved similar requests in the past, provided that the organization provide proof of a
$1,000,000 liability insurance policy with the City as an additional insured, and a contract with a
reputable sign company.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council approve the request from the Rosemead Youth
Association contingent upon proof of insurance and a contract for the installation and removal of
the banner.

The Rosemead Youth Association would like permission to hang the Baseball/Softball
Sign-up Street Banner across Valley Boulevard and Walnut Grove. We would request that the
banner be hung on the following dates: December 27, 1999 through January 15, 2000.
The company that will be hanging the banner is Creative Sign & Display Company, 534
N. Howard Avenue, Covina, California 91723. If there are any questions or problems relating to
the hanging of the banner, please contact Jeff or Dave at (626) 967-3494.
