A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD DECLARING THE WEEK OF
MAY 9-13, 1999 AS "SHERIFFS APPRECIATION WEEK"
IN THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, May 9-13, 1999 has been designated National Police Officers
Memorial Week as a time to remember and honor those Police Officers who have
sacrificed their lives in the line of duty to public service and public safety; and
WHEREAS, American and the City of Rosemead pause to pay tribute to the
memory of the many men and women who have given the most that can be given in
the service of protecting and defending the laws, rights, and safety of the citizens of
this country; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Hollywood would like to recognize and honor
the men and women of the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department for their
ongoing and outstanding professional partnership and collaboration with the City of
West Hollywood.
NOWTHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of Rosemead declares the week of May 9-13, 1999 as "Sheriffs Appreciation Week"
in Rosemead.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 11th DAY OF MAY,
1999.
