The meetino was called to order Al by Mayor Andersen at 3:21 o'clock p.m. CALL TO ORDER The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Planning Commissioner Holmes and the Invocation was delivered by Planning Commissioner Pile when the Piannin Commission was called to order. 2. ROLL CALL Present: Councilmen: Andersen, Jackman, Lowrey, Maude, Idh i ddon. Absent: Councilmen: (done. Ex officio: Armstrong, Farrell, Hersh, Joehnck, Street. 3. ZONE CHARGE CASE 110. 31. Planning Director Hersh advised the Council that the Planning Commission concurred with the recommendation of the Council to zone the front 225 feet of this property C-34D and the remainder Parking-Design. Following-discussion, it was moved by Councilman Haude, second by Mayor Andersen,, that the Council determine that in considering applications for approval for motels and hotels that the Planning Commission be instructed not to approve kitchen facilities in more than 25% of the units and the City Attorney be instructed to prepare an ordinance to this effect. • Roll call vote as follows: AYES: Councilmen: Andersen, Lowrey, Maude, 'Whiddon. NOES: Councilmen: Jackman. ABSENT: Councilmen: None. ORDINANCE 110. 228. ABSENT: Councilmen: None. CC 12-19-67 APPROVAL OFTENTATIVE MAP. TRACT 24913. TUDOR LAND C011PANY. Planning Director Hersh advised the Council that the Planning Commission recommended approval of the tentative map._in accordance with conditions of the Subdivision Committee. . Following discussion, the Council concurred that the subdivider would provide street design for San Gabriel Boulevard, provided the final tract map is recorded prior to February 15), 1963. It was moved by Councilman Maude, second by Councilman Lowrey, that the Council approve the tentative map for Tract 21:913 subject to the recommendations of the Subdivision Committee and the Planninc: Commission. Roll call vote as follows: AYES: Councilmen: Andersen, Jackman, Lowrey, Maude, Whiddon. FLUES: Councilmen: (done. ABSENT: Councilmen: None. • 5. AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS. CITY HALL - NOT IN CONTRACT ITEi✓;S. City Administrator-Farrell advised the Council that specifications were being prepared and would be sub- mitted to the Council for approval prior to calling for bids. It was moved by Councilman `,,dhiddon, second by Councilman Maude, and unanimously carried, that the Council authorize advertising for bids for City Hall - Not in Contract Items. 6. NA111 HG OF PARK. Mayor Andersen advised the Council that the Water Company • had indicated their dissatisfaction with the choice of the name 'Jalisco for the park located at Mlission Drive and Delta Avenue and suggested that the 3 Councilmen on the Park Board meet with !dater Company representatives to resolve this matter, Mayor Anderson instructed the City Clerk to arrange this meeting and notify the Councilmen. 7. INGLESIDE LODGE. City Administrator Farrell advised the Council that Ingleside Lodge has applied for State funds and their expansion plans indicate a connecting tunnel under Hellman Avenue. The State has indicated they cannot approve such plans with out prior approval of the City with respect to the tunnel under a City street. . It was moved by Councilman Whiddon, second by Councilman Lowrey, and carried, that the Council indicate they would look with favor on this proposal. Councilman Maude abstained from voting. There being no further business to come before the Council, Mayor Andersen declared the meeting adjourned. Mectin adjourned at 9:07 o'clock p.m. MAYO CITY CLERK - 2 -
