CONFERENCE-MERIDA, MEXICO, JULY 14-21 1998
Attached for your consideration is information regarding the aforementioned conference. This
conference, which is held in Mexico, once every two years, is expected to attract approximately
400 attendees from cities across the U.S. and Mexico. The City Council has authorized
attendance in the past and it provides those attending with an opportunity to meet with officials at
the national and international level.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the attendance of any Councilmember, and staff
as designated by the City Manager.
