Minutes of June 15, 1965
An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Rosemead was held in the City Administrator's
• office, 8815 East Valley Boulevard. The meeting was called
to order by Mayor Maude at 7:04 o'clock p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Councilmen: Jackman, Lowrey, Maude, Stead.
Absent: Councilmen: Andersen.
Ex officio: Armstrong, Farrell, Phillips.
BUDGET STUDY
City Administrator Farrell summarized the Statement of Fund
Balances and the Estimated Revenue by Funds.
PAGE 1 - City Council - Approved.
PAGE 2 - City Administrator - Approved.
PAGE 3 - City Clerk - Approved.
PAGE 4 - Finance Department - Approved.
City Administrator Farrell called attention to a new cal-
culator included in this account.
PAGE 5 - City Treasurer - Approved.
PAGE 6 - City Attorney - Approved.
PAGE 7 - Planning Department - Approved.
City Administrator Farrell pointed out that provisions had
• been made in this account for a full time planner.
PAGE 8 - General Government Buildings - Approved.
City Administrator Farrell pointed out that additional
funds had been budgeted in the Capital Outlay Reserve in
anticipation of acquisition of a City Hall site.
PAGE 9 - Community Promotion. Approved as corrected.
Account .76 - Contributions was increased to $9,000. City
Administrator Farrell was requested to work out a new agree-
ment with the Chamber of Commerce to cover this increased
contribution.

City Administrator Farrell advised the Council he had
received the increased figures for Sheriff's Department

City Administrator Farrell pointed out that a radar
unit was provided for in this account.

City Administrator Farrell, advised the Council that a
proposed agreement had just been received from the State
Division of Highways for the modification of the traffic
signals at Lower Azusa Road and Rosemead Boulevard for
$12,800. This amount to be in account .63.

City Administrator Farrell advised the Council that they
may wish to reconsider the sidewalk installation on.Mission
Drive project. Mayor Maude requested this item placed on
the next agenda.
Councilman Lowrey inquired about the DeAdalena Street
sidewalk petition. Following discussion, City Administrator
Farrell was requested to review this proposed project and
prepare a recommendation for the Council. This recommend-
ation to be placed on Council agenda wh.en completed.

Funds were added to Account .51 for Directorsattendance at
conferences. Corrected figure $1,315.
City Administrator Farrell recommended that time clocks
be purchased for use of the City and Park staffs.
Page 3 - City Clerk and Page 27 - Park Administration were
corrected by adding $203. to each account to provide for
time clocks.

City Administrator Farrell was requested to prepare a
conference schedule for consideration by the Council at
their next budget study,
It was moved by Councilman Jackman, second by Councilman
Lowrey, and unanimously carried, that the meeting adjourn.
Meeting adjourned at 9:25 o'clock p.m.
CITY CLERK
