CC - 09-29-64 - Adjourned MeetingCITY OF ROSEMEAD ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA CITY COUNCIL Minutes of September 29, 1964 An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Rosemead was held in the Council Chambers, 3015 East Valley Boulevard. 0 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Andersen at 7:35 o'clock p.m. 1. CALL TO ORDER The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Planning Commissioner Paul Taylor. The Invocation was delivered by Councilman Stead. 2. ROLL CALL Present: Councilmen: Andersen, Jackman, Lowrey, Maude, Stead. Absent: Councilmen: None. Ex officio: Armstrong, Brown, Cushman, Farrell, Wroe. 93. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: None. 4. TIME RESERVED FOR THOSE IN THE AUDIENCE WHO DESIRE TO ADDRESS THE COUNCIL None. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 5. REQUESTED SUPPORT OF PROPOSITION "C" It was moved by Councilman Lowrey, second by Mayor Andersen, and unanimously carried, that a resolution be prepared for presentation at the next regular meeting supporting Proposition "C". •6. APPOINTMENT OF REHABILITATION BOARD. It was moved by Councilman Maude, second by Councilman Lowrey, and unanimously carried, that the City Council serve as the Rehabilitation Board. Councilman Maude suggested that the Council might wish to reconsider their action on item 5 due to the time element involved. Following short discussion, the Council concurred that item 5 should be reconsidered at this time.. RESOLUTION N0. 64-71. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF AND RECOMMENDING ENDORSEMENT OF PROPOSITION C ON THE NOVEMBER 3, 1964 BALLOT. • Mayor Andersen requested this resolution read by title only, if there were no objections. There were no objections. Attorney Brown read this resolution by title only. It was moved by Councilman Maude, second by Councilman Lowrey, and unanimously carried, that Resolution No. 64-71 be adopted. C 9-29-64 1 7. STUDY SESSION. PROPOSED CHANGES IN THE ZONING ORDINANCE,, Mayor Andersen declared the meeting recessed to a study session with the Planning Commission to consider proposed Zoning Ordinance changes., Meeting recessed. at 7:43 o'clock p.m. Mayor Andersen reconvened the meeting at 10:01 o'clock p.m. 8.' MATTERS FROM CITY OFFICIALS I Mayor Andersen advised the Council that the Council was invited to the dedication of the City of Commerce Civic Center on October 5, 1964..
