Minutes of June 8, 1964
An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Rosemead was held in the Council Chambers, 8815 East Valley
Boulevard. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Andersen
at 7:18 o'clock p.m.
1. CALL TO ORDER
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by City Administrator Farrell.

Present: Councilmen: Andersen, Lowrey, Maude, Stead.
Absent: Councilmen: Jackman
Ex officio: Farrell, Wroe, Armstrong.
BUDGET STUDY
• Mayor Andersen stated if there were no objections all matters
concerning salary and personnel would be considered in personnel
session at a later meeting. There were no objections.
Councilman Jackman arrived at 7:27 o'clock p.m.
City Administrator Farrell summarized the Statement of Fund
Balances and the Estimated Revenue by Funds.
Mayor Andersen recommended that funds shown in the budget for
conference expenses should indicate that approval has been
granted and reservations and registrations can be made accordingly
The Council concurred that inclusion in the budget of conference
expenses would indicate approval.
City Administrator Farrell presented a summary of recommended
conference expenses.
The Council increased conference expenses per person from $25. to
$45. for the League of California Conference and added attendance
by 5 Traffic Commissioners to the League of California Cities
Conference and 2 Traffic Commissioners to the California Contract
Cities Seminar.

Farrell was requested to prepare a contract proposal with respect
to the Chamber of Commerce.

This account to be given further consideration.

Farrell requested to prepare reports and specific project proposals
for sidewalks needing replacement. .

was requested to prepare proposals, petitions and all necessary
documents for mail contact with property owners of Rosemead
Boulevard frontage regarding street lighting.
PAGE 57 - HEALTH SERVICES - Approved.
PAGE 59 - RECREATION SERVICES - Account .01 increased from $7,500
to $8,000. Approved.
It was moved by Councilman Maude, second by Mayor Andersen, and
unanimously carried, that the meeting adjourn. Meeting adjourned
at 10:07 o'clock p.m.
