A. Beautification Commission Meeting Minutes
Recommendation: That the Beautification Commission approve the minutes of
the November 14, 2018 Regular Meeting and December 19, 2018 Special
Meeting.
3. MATTERS FROM STAFF
A. Overview of Beautification Commission Calendar
The Beautification Commission will review and discuss important dates for
upcoming events. The calendar, which includes City events, is a tool to assist the
Commission and staff to coordinate and prepare for upcoming events.
Recommendation: That the Beautification Commission review and provide
feedback.
4. MATTERS FROM COMMISSION
A. Review of the 6`h Annual Holiday Decoration Awards
The Beautification Commission will discuss on the outcome of the 6th Annual
Holiday Decoration Awards.
Recommendation: That the Beautification Commission discuss and provide
feedback.
B. Civic Pride Day 2019
The Beautification Commission will discuss and provide ideas for the Annual
Civic Pride Day consisting of a community "clean-up" service project.
Recommendation: That the Beautification Commission provide direction to staff
on proposed projects.
C. Little Free Libraries Project
The Commission will discuss the potential of Little Free Libraries Project, which
fosters neighborhood book exchanges and deepening community connectedness.

Recommendation: That the Beautification Commission discuss the Little Free
Libraries project.
D. Discussion of the Utility Box Art Project
The Beautification Commission will discuss the potential of a Utility Box Art
Project, which consists of utility boxes throughout our community serving as
canvases for original art pieces painted by residents, students and community
members who wish to contribute to the vitality and attractiveness of Rosemead.
Recommendation: That the Beautification Commission discuss and provide
direction.
5. ADJOURNMENT
The next regular meeting of the Beautification Commission is scheduled to take place on
February 13, 2019, at 7:00 p.m., at the Rosemead Council Chamber.
