2019-20 Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account revenues:
Valley Boulevard Resurfacing, Phase II. The project involves the rehabilitation of the
street pavement on Valley Boulevard from Rosemead Boulevard to the east City limit. The
scope of work will include cold milling the existing asphalt concrete pavement;
constructing a rubberized asphalt concrete overlay; adjusting utility manholes and vaults
to the final grade; and restoring the traffic striping and pavement markings. The project
will provide a useful pavement life of 15-20 years. The anticipated schedule is to complete
design drawings and bid specifications in the Fall 2019, and complete construction in the
Spring 2020.
3. The following previously proposed and adopted projects may utilize fiscal year 2019-20
Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account revenues in their delivery. With the
relisting of these projects in the adopted fiscal year resolution, the City is reaffirming to
the public and the State our intent to fund these projects with Road Maintenance and
Rehabilitation Account revenues:
Walnut Grove Avenue Resurfacing Project and Walnut Grove Avenue Colored
Concrete Crosswalk Installation Project. These projects were combined as one project
involving the rehabilitation of the street pavement on Walnut Grove Avenue from Marshall
Street to the north City limit, and installation of colored concrete crosswalks at various
intersections within the same limits. The project was previously designated to be funded
with RMRA revenues in fiscal years 2017-18 and 2018-19,and will be utilizing fiscal year
2019-20 RMRA revenues as well. The project will provide a useful pavement life of 15-
20 years, and the concrete crosswalks will provide a useful life of 30-40 years. While
design drawings and bid specifications are nearly complete, construction is anticipated in
the Spring 2020 to allow for the scheduled undergrounding of overhead utilities in Walnut
Grove Avenue.
