PROFESSIONIAL BIO
2019 marks my 331d year of executive -level career in local government. Prior to joining
the City of Rosemead, I served as the Director of Recreation and Community Services
for the City of Bell Gardens. My extensive background in local government also includes
overseeing diverse municipal functions such as Airports, Animal Services, and Code
Enforcement. I've held executive management roles in several municipalities, thriving in
employee management and team building. Previously, I worked as the Parks,
Recreation and Community Services Director for the cities of Burbank, Tracy, and Elk
Grove. The position I've held which closely relates to my position in Rosemead was as
the Director of Field Services for the City of Santa Clarita where I oversaw functions that
included transit, street maintenance, general facilities maintenance, environmental
services, property management, and fleet services.
I'm honored and thrilled to have joined the Rosemead team and look forward to help
making a positive difference in the community. I'm fully aware of the vital role Public
Works plays in aiding the quality of life of Rosemead's residents. I hope to continue the
quality projects that the Public Works Department has implemented to help the
community and assist in carrying out the vision of the City Council.
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Administration from California Polytechnic
State University, San Luis Obispo. I've been a high school CIF football and basketball
official for 33 years and have been honored to have worked a multitude of CIF Finals.
I'm happily married to my wife Christine and have three adult children; Cody (24) who's
a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force, Dillon (22), and Carly (19).
