A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA, EXTENDING CERTAIN TIME
LIMITATIONS WITHIN UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT ##1
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemead as
follows :
WHEREAS , the City Council called for a public hearing on January 25 ,
1972 , at the hour of 8 : 00 o 'clock p.m. , in the Council Chambers in the
City Hall , 8838 East Valley Boulevard, Rosemead , California, to ascertain
whether the public necessity, health , safety , or welfare requires the
removal of poles , overhead wires and associated overhead structures , and
the underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric ,
communication, or similar or associated service , within that certain
area of the City described as follows : Sixty-five (65) feet north and
south of the centerline on Mission Drive between the westerly City limit
and the west property line of Rosemead Boulevard, and
WHEREAS , such hearing has been duly and regularly held , and all
persons interested were given an opportunity to be heard.
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Rosemead adopted Resolution
No. 72-5 , on January 25 , 1972 , fixing eight (8) months from date of
adoption of said Resolution as the date in which affected property owners
must be ready to receive underground service , and fixing ten (10) months
from date of adoption of said Resolution as the date in which overhead
electric , communication, or similar service within the Underground
Utility District No. 1 must be removed; and
WHEREAS , the general public interest would be served by extending
the time limitations within said Resolution,
NOW, THEREFORE , be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Rosemead that February 1 , 1973 , is the date hereby established as the date
in which said property owners must be ready to receive underground services
and has hereby established April 1 , 1973 , as the date in which all poles ,
overhead wires and associated overhead structures must be removed and the
underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric
communication or similar service within Underground Utility District No. 1
be completed.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, the City Clerk is hereby instructed to notify
all affected utilities and all persons owning property within Underground
Utility District No. 1 of the adoption of this Resolution within ten (10 )
days of the date of said Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of July, 1972 .
