RESOLUTION 72-65
of the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF ROSEMEAD, thanking and commending
HAROLD H. BURRIS
WHEREAS, one of the measures of a man's value as a human being can be
found in how much service he is willing to render the community
in which he lives by acting on committees and commissions of
city government, giving freely of his time and talents toward
improving that community; and
WHEREAS, Harold H. Burris., a Rosemead resident for the past sixteen
years, was chosen and accepted an appointment to the Planning
Commission of the City of Rosemead on January, 1970; and
WHEREAS, since that appointment, he has performed faithfully, intelligently
and with integrity on said Planning Commission, two years as
Vice-Chairman, during a time of great importance as this city
contemplated, then adopted, a General Plan and a Community
Redevelopment Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Burris family is moving to a new home in Alhambra, thus
making further service on Rosemead's Planning Commission
unfeasible for Harold Burris,
NOW, THEREFORE, WE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD, do
hereby release, reluctantly, from his post as Vice Chairman of the Planning
Commission, a dedicated servant, a good friend, Harold Burris, and in the
doing, wish him success and happiness in his new home and community.
