Brown Act
Pursuant to provisions of the Brown Act, no action may be taken on a matter unless it is listed on the agenda, or unless certain emergency or special circumstances

shall result in such persons being barred from further audience before the governing body. Pursuant to Gov. Code Sect. 54954.3(c), any person who engages in
unlavful interference shall be reproved from chambers.

A. Concept Presentation — Garvey - Walnut Grove Plaza Residential/Commercial
Mixed -Used Development at 8589 Garvey Avenue and 3001 Walnut Grove
Avenue
Taiwan Center Foundation of Greater Los Angeles has submitted a Pre -
Application (Pre -Application 19-02), proposing to develop a new
residential/commercial mixed-use development, which would include 42
residential dwellings units and 17,644 square feet of commercial floor area. As part
of this application, the applicants are proposing a Zone Change to incorporate a
Residential/Commercial Mixed -Use Development Overlay (RC-MUDO), a
General Plan Amendment to change the land use designation from Commercial to
Mixed -Use: Residential/Commercial (30 du/ac; 3 Stories), a Zone Variance to
deviate from the side yard setback, a Design Review, and a Tentative Tract Map.
The subject site is located at 8589 Garvey Avenue and 3001 Walnut Grove
Avenue, in the C-3 zone.
The next regular scheduled City Council meeting will take place on November 12, 2019,
at 7:00 p.m. in the Rosemead City Hall Council Chamber.
