CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATJON OF POSITIONS WITHIN THE
ROSEMEAD CITY SERVICE, THE STANDARDIZATION OF HOURS OF WORK
ATTENDANCE, AND LEAVE REGULATIONS, AND OTHER RELATED MATTER.
It was moved by Andersen, second by Lowrey, end unanimously
carried that this item be tabled until later on the agenda.

It was moved by Lowrey, second by Jackman, and unanimously
carried that reservations be made for the City Treasurer at
the California Contract Cities second annual seminar in Palm
Springs.
14. RESOLUTION NO. 61-7. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD ESTABLISHING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES WITH
REFERENCE TO THE CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSk'.TION OF POSITIONS
WITHIN THE ROSEMEAD CITY SERVICE, THE STANDARDIZATION OF HOURS

After short discussion, it was moved by Lowrey, second by
Stead, and unanimously carried that Section 14 on Page 8 read
• ten'(10) vacation days per year - 5/6 days per month.
It was moved by Stead, second by Lowrey, and unanimously
carried, that the City Administrator be placed in an exempt
position.
Mayor Andersen stated that the Council would recess to a
personnel session and when it was completed they would return
to the Council Chambers and ratify their action. Meeting
recessed at 9:22 o'clock p.m.
Meeting reconvened at 10:40 o'clock p.m.
It was moved by Lowrey, second by Jackman, that in Toble 3 of
Resolution No. 61-7 that the following proposed ranges be
inserted in-the classification, Clerk -Typist-Receptionist,
Range 13; Administrative Secretary, Range 15; Deputy City Clerk,
Range 17; Administrative Assistant, Range 23;and the City
Administrator be exempt.
Roll call vote as follows: Ayes: Andersen, Jackman, Lowrey,
Phinney, Stead. Noes: None. Absent: None.

It was moved by Lowrey, second by Jackman that the following
salary adjustments become effective July 1, 1961: AdIninistratlve
Secretary, Katherine Phillips -($370.00) Step B of Range 15; .
Deputy City Clerk, Edythe C. Armstrongg -($428.00) Step C of
Range 17; Administrative Assistant, Roy R. Pederson -($546.00)
Stepp 9 of.Range 23 and anniversary dates for next step increases
to be as follows: Katherine Phillips and Roy R. Pederson -
January 1, 1962; Edythe'C. Armstrong - February I, 1962.
City Administrator Milton R. Farrel) to receive $1,000.00 per
month or $12,000.00 por year effective July 1, 1961 to June 30,
1962.

After a short di6cus5ion,'it was moved by Stead, second by
Phinney that the City not be required to advance any funds for
prior service agreement for the employees eligible for the

It was moved by Stood, second by Andersen and unanimously
carried that the maetrng adjourn. Keetin ad ourned at 11:00
