AN ORDINANCE OF THE`CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
CERTAIN ZONING PROVISIONS OF THE ROSEMEAD
MUNICIPAL CODE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS.FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 9102.11 is'hereby deleted from the
Rosemead Municipal Code.
Section 2. Section 9106.11 of the Rosemead Municipal Code
is amende to rea :

9114.2 20.. Notwithstanding any other section of this Code,
no establishment for the sale of any alcoholic
beverages for consumption.on the premises shall
be permitted in the C-3 or M..zones if any portion
of.the property on.which such business is located
is within 200 feet of the property line of any
property used for residential purposes and
located within a residential zone, without there
• having first been obtained a conditional use
permit pursuant to Article IX, Part XXVI of the
Rosemead Municipal Code. 'Such conditional use
permit may be issued only after a public hearing
before the Planning Commission .of.the City of
Rosemead upon application therefor, and the
findings by the Planning Commission that the
establishment, maintenance or operation of the
use so applied for will not., under the circum-
stances of the particular case, be detrimental
to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort
or general welfare of 'persons residing or
working in the neighborhood thereof, nor be
detrimental or injurious to the property and
improvements in the neighborhood.or to the
general, welfare of the City.

Specific Zones. - Mortuaries in the C-2 Zone" is hereby deleted from
the Rosemead. Municipal. Code.
Section 10. Section 9124.2-12 (Conditional Use Permit in
Specific ones - 11 Motels in the C-1, C-2 and R-4 Zones" is hereby
deleted from the Rosemead Municipal Code.
Section 11. Section 9124.1-9 (Conditional Use Permit in
Any Zone) i-'s TereGy amended to read:
9124.1-9 Rest homes.
Section 12. Section 9124.2719 (Conditional Use Permit in
Specific ones is ereby added to the Rosemead Municipal Code to
read:
9124,2,19 Hospitals (excepting animal hospitals) and sani-
tariums in any residential (R) zones, or in the
C-1 Zone; and Hospitals (excepting animal hospi-
tals), Sanitariums, and Medical Clinics for the
treatment of contagious diseases, mental illnesses,
or drug or liquor addiction cases in the C-3 and
M-1 Zones.

Section 13. Section 9107.1-B (R-4 Zone) is hereby amended to
delete those-" u-mss s permitted by Conditional Use Permit in any zone, and
amended to read:
9107.1-3 Group dwellings;
apartment houses;
and lodge halls.

Section. 14. Section 9102.26 (Definitions) of the Rosemead
:Municipal Code is amended to read:
9102.26 Kennel. Any lot, building, structure, or premises
in or on which four (4) or more dogs or cats, over
four (4) months of age are kept for the primary
purposes of sale, breeding, boarding or training,
or where four (4) or more dogs or cats, over four
(4) months of age are kept, maintained or permitted
for any reason or purpose, whether commercial,
non-commercial or otherwise, except veterinary
establishments.
Section 15. Section 9111.1-B-20 (C-3 Zone) of the Rosemead
Municipal Coke is mended to read:
9111.1-B-20 Hospitals, Sanitariums, and Medical Clinics except
clinics, hospitals or sanitariums for the treatment
of contagious diseases, mental illnesses or drug
• or liquor addiction cases and animal hospitals.
Section 16. Section 9124.1-15 (Conditional Use Permit uses
'in any zone o t e Rosemead Municipal Code is hereby amended to read:
9124.1 15. Public utility or public service buildings,

lated structures and uses.
Section 17. Section 9122.9-B (Parking Requirements) is
hereby amended to delete the second paragraph and to rcad:
9122.9-B For manufacturing and industrial buildings, at
least one (1) parking space for each four hundred
(400) square feet of floor space or fraction
thereof in such buildings.
• Section 18. Section 9,122.9-C (Parking Requirements) is
hereby added to t the Rosemead Municipal Code to read:
9122.9-C Parkin Space Dimensions. Each such parking space
S g e at east nine ) feet wide by.twenty (20)
feet long, with adequate space for ingress and
egress and shall be located in said building, or
outside on the same lot, or on a parking lot within
five hundred (500) feet of the building subject
to approval of the site by the Director of Planning.
