CC - 2002-42 - Approving Genenral Plan Amendment 02-01 for Land use Designation0 C RESOLUTION 2002-42 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 02-01 AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM PUBLIC FACILITIES TO MIXED USE INDUSTRIAL/COMMERCIAL FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2401 PINE STREET & 2447 SAN GABRIEL BOULEVARD IN THE C-3 (MEDIUM COMMERCIAL) ZONE AND R-2 (LIGHT MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) ZONE. (APN: 5284-006-800,-802,- 803,-805;5284-012-801). WHEREAS, Mr. Rick Meaglia, representing Park Edison LLC, 688 W. Foothill Blvd., Monrovia, CA 91016, filed an application requesting a general plan amendment from Public Facilities to Mixed Use: Industrial/ Commercial for the development of a mini-storage and industrial complex for property located at 2401 Pine Street and 2447 San Gabriel Boulevard on February 6, 2002; and WHEREAS, Rosemead's General Plan designates the subject property for Public Facilities uses; and WHEREAS, Rosemead's Zoning Map designates the site for C-3; Medium Commercial and R-2; Light Multiple Family Residential uses; and WHEREAS, Sections 17.116 and 17.120 of the Rosemead Municipal Code set forth procedures and requirements for zone changes and amendments; and WHEREAS, the City of Rosemead has an adopted General Plan, zoning ordinance, and map including specific development standards to control development; and WHEREAS, the General Plan Amendment 02-01 would designate the subject property "Mixed Use: Industrial/ Commercial" allowing for the development of an industrial complex and mini-storage; and WHEREAS, on June 6, 2002, an initial study for the proposed general plan amendment was completed finding that the proposed project could not have a significant effect on the environment, a negative declaration was prepared; and WHEREAS, on August 29, 2002, notices were posted in 12 public locations and 43 notices were sent to property owners within a 300-foot radius from the subject property specifying the public comment period and the time and place for a public hearing pursuant to California Government Code Section 65091(a)(3); and WHEREAS, on September 10, 2002, the City Council held a public hearing to receive Resolution No. 2002-42 Rosemead City Council September 10, 2002 NANCY VAL ERRAMA, City Clerk STATE OF CALIFORNIA COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES CITY OF ROSEMEAD I, Nancy Valderrama, City Clerk of the City of Rosemead, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 2002-42 being: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA APPROVING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 02-01 AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM PUBLIC FACILITIES TO MIXED USE INDUSTRIAL/COMMERCIAL FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2401 PINE STREET & 2447 SAN GABRIEL BOULEVARD IN THE C-3 (MEDIUM COMMERCIAL) ZONE AND THE R-2 (LIGHT MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) ZONE.
