ORDINANCE NO. 264
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD TEMPORARILY REGULATING
SIGN INSTALLATION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE.CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Notwithstanding any other,provision of
the Rosemea-21715unic:pal Code, no blinking, flashing, animated
or giant statuary signs shall be permitted. Revolving signs
may be installed not to exceed 8 revolutions per minute.
Section 2. The Planning Commission currently has
under study t-visions of the Rosemead Mun cipal Code
. relating to the regulation of signs and the lighting thereon.
In order to prevent the proliferation of signs and lighting
on signs which would be inconsistent with proposed lighting
standards now under consideration by the Planning Commission,
it is necessary and desirable that the provisions of Section 1
herein shall apply to all areas of the City pending the out-
come of the Planning Commission's studies. This ordinance is
therefore declared to be an interim zoning ordinance neces-
sary for the protection of the health, safety and welfare of
the City of Rosemead, and shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption. This ordinance shall be effective for a period
of ninety (90) days from the date of its adoption.
