The sidebars in the page margin of the Greenbook indicates either a new or modified
section. The major change for the 1997 Edition is the conversion of the units of
measurement used in the Greenbook from the U. S. Standard measures to the Metric
International System.
The use of the Greenbook Standards minimizes conflict and confusion in Public Works
construction and tends to lower construction costs through competitive bidding.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Rosemead City Council:
1. Adopt Resolution No. 97 - 08.
2. Approve the 1997 Edition of the "Greenbook" Standard Specifications for Public
Works Construction.
