▪POS system scans all aged restricted products
▪Police Department will have 24-hour direct video access. Video Footage
will be kept a minimum of 60 days.
▪7-Eleven corporation provides franchisees with Secret Shopper Program

will be behind cashier in lockable cabinet.

–Trains employees on 4 primary crime deterrence components:
•Visibility into and out of the store
•Bright interior and exterior lighting
•Cash control with no more than $50 in the register during the
day and $30 at night
▪7-Eleven’s Operation Alert Program:
–Trains employees on operation procedures to discourage robbery
and emphasizes a no-resistance policy toward robbery
•Adopted by the National Crime Prevention Institute at the
University of Louisville
•Taught to law enforcement officers throughout the country

–Trains employees on legal sales of age restricted products
•Policies, procedures, identifying characteristics of minors and state law
to ensure all stores are prepared and committed to safe and legal sale
of age-restricted products.

are required to sign an affidavit
stating they are aware of obligations
and ramifications should they not
comply with the law.

▪Sales Tax: Approx. $15,600/year to City of Rosemead
▪Jobs: 12-15 jobs created in the community
▪Property Tax:
–National tenant attracts other businesses to surrounding area.

due to lower cap rate and higher rents; therefore higher property
tax revenue to City.
