CC - 1960 - 13 - Special Election on Annexation Area No. 615* ; rG' r 0 0 RESOLUTION NO. G o `13 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DECLARING ITS.INTENTION TO CALL A. SPECIAL-ELECTION ON.ANNERATION AREA NO..6. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City o Rosemead to calla special election to be held in certain inhabited territory contiguous to said City, proposed to be annexed thereto, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors residing ih said territory the question whether or not said territory shall be annexed to the City of Rosemead. Said territory,is described in Exhibit A which is hereto attached.and made a part hereof. Section 2. That said territory hereby is designated and identifie as Rosemead Annexation Area No. 6." Section 3. Notice is hereby given that on the 24th day of March,79G ,at the hour of 8:00 o clock P. M., in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of Rosemead, any person owning real property.within said territory so proposed to be annexed and having any objection to the proposed annexation may appear before said city council and show cause why such territory should not be annexed. Any protest must Be in writing and shall state the name of the owner of the property affected and the street address or other description of the property sufficient to identify it on the'last equalized assessment roll. If it is found that protests are not made by the owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment toll-or by public and private owners equal to one-half of the value of the territory, further proceedings may be taken in accordance with law for the holding of such special election. Section 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption o t is resolution and cause the same to be published in Rv.. • S? : ice, r a newspaper,of general circulation published in the City o Rosemead, for two successive weeks and shall cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each owner of an equitable or legal interest in land within the territory to be annexed who has filed his name and address and a general description of such land sufficient to identify it on the last equalized county assessment roll, with said Clerk. Said notice shall be mailed not less than twenty days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexa- tion.
