Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California. The Pledge to the Flag was led by Councilman Imperial The Invocation was delivered by Bante Chao Chu of the Rosemead Buddhist Monastery ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS: Present: Councilmembers Alarcon, Imperial, Taylor, Mayor Pro Tem Clark, and Mayor Vasquez Absent: None APPROVAL OF MINUTES: DECEMBER 9, 2003 - REGULAR MEETING Councilman Taylor requested that this item be deferred for corrections. RESOLUTION NO. 2004-01 - CLAIMS AND DEMANDS The following Resolution was presented to the Council for adoption. RESOLUTION NO. 2004-01 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD ALLOWING CERTAIN CLAIMS AND DEMANDS IN THE SUM OF $2,532,574.63 NUMBERED 43631 THROUGH 44002 MOTION BY COUNCILMAN IMPERIAL, SECOND BY MAYOR PRO TEM CLARK that the Council adopt Resolution No. 2004-01. MARCH The following resolution was presented to the Council for adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2004-02 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD SUPPORTING ASSEMBLY CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 142 TO DESIGNATE A MEMORIAL STATE HIGHWAY INTERCHANGE IN HONOR OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPUTY DAVID W. MARCH MOTION BY COUNCILMAN IMPERIAL, SECOND BY MAYOR PRO TEM CLARK that the Council adopt Resolution No. 2004-02. MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION AND ACTION - None VI. STATUS REPORTS - None CCMIN:1-27-04 Page a3 0 VII. MATTERS FROM OFFICIALS Mayor Vasquez, referring to the recent concerns of residents living near Zapopan Park, requested that staff bring back information about moving the Garvey Substation over to the vacant Zapopan Community Center. Mayor Vasquez stated that this move would help in alleviating the problems around that area. Mayor Vasquez announced that the Rosemead School District named Lt. Wayne Wallace as their "Golden Apple Recipient for 2003-2004". VIII. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE - None IX. ADJOURNMENT There being no further action to be taken at this time, the meeting was adjourned at 8:06 p.m., in memory of Virginia Wagner, mother of Assistant City Manager Don Wagner, and in memory of Robert "Buddy" Soto, son of State Senator Nell Soto.
