CC - 1961 - 10 - Ascertaining General Prevailing Wage Rates• RESOLUTION NO. 61-10 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD ASCERTAINING THE GENERAL PREVAILING WAGE RATES. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD FINDS, DETERMINES AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the City of Rosemead, for each craft, classification or type of workman needed to execute public works contracts, are as follows: CLASSIFICATION HOURLY RATE Carpenters H&W - 10C per hr. Pension Fund - 10c per hr. Overtime - not less than one and one-half (1-2) times the above rate. Apprentices may be employed provided they are properly in- centured to the Contractor, in full appliance with the pro- visions of Section 1777.5 of the Labor Code. WORKING RULES 1. Single shift: Eight (8) consecutive hours, or in certain crafts less than eight (8) hours, exclusive of lunch period, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. shall constitute a day's work. All time worked in excess of eight (8) consecutive hours, exclusive of lunch period, or all time worked before 8:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m. and all work performd on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays shall be paid for at the overtime rate of the craft involved. 2. Holidays: That the following days are recognized as holi- days: New-Year's Day,.Decoration Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Armistice Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, If any of the above hol.idays should fall on Sunday, the Monday following shall, be considered a legal holiday. work on such days shall be paid for at the Sunday and Holiday overtime rate of the craft involved. No work shall -be required on Labor Day, except in case.of extreme urgency.-when life or.property .is.in imminent danger. Notice is also hereby given that all bidders may submit,with their bids a sworn statement of their financial responsibility technical ability.and experience. Such sworn statement may be required to be furnished before award is made to any parti- cular bidder. Each 'bid shall be made out on a form to 'be obtained at the - City Hal 1 , and sha 1.1 be ac.compan i ed by' cash , 'or certified check or cashier's check, or bid bond, for ten per cent (Ib%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the order of the CITY OF ROSEMEAD, and shall be sealed and filed with the City Administrator, at 3964 North Rosemead Boulevard, City of i, Rosemead, before 5,:00 p.m. March 14, 1961, and will.be opened and publicly read aloud at Council Chambers,3954 North Rosemead.Boulevard, Rosemead; California. The above mentioned security shall be,g.iven as a guarantee that the bidder will-enter into the Contract if awarded to him, and will be declared forfeited if the successful bidder fails to enter into said Contract. THE CITY COUNCIL reserves the. right to reject any.and all bids or waive any informality in.the bid..
