RESOLUTION NO. 61-17
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROSEMEAD ESTABLISHING A POLICY REGARDING
CONVENTION AND OTHER EXPENSES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. All reasonable and necessary expenses
actually incurred By members of the City Council, members
of the City staff, Commission members and other specifically
authorized City representatives, in connection with attending
conventions, seminars, dinner meetings and other activities
and business in behalf of the City shall be reimbursed by the
City in accordance with the policy herein established.
Section 2. Reasonable and necessary expenses
actually incurred -sFall include, among other items, registra-
tion fees, travel expenses, accommodations, meals, costs of
telephone and telegraph necessitated by City business, usual
and customary tips for services and other similar non-personal
items. Reasonable and necessary expenses shall not be deemed
to include cocktails, or hotel accommodations or meals for a
spouse, relative or other guest. In the event, however, of
travel by personal automobile the travel allowance herein
provided for shall be reimbursable to the City officer con-
cerned, irrespective of the presence of a spouse, relative or
other passenger and hotel accommodations shall be reimbursable
to the City officer at the full rate charged for single room
accommodations although such room may also be occupied by a
spouse, relative or other guest.
Section 3. Reasonable and necessary charges actually
incurred for pu is transportation of a City officer shall be
reimbursed in full. In the event of use of a private automo-
bile on City business and/or attending functions authorized
by the City Council, the traveling allowance shall be thirteen
cents (130 per mile for the first one hundred fifty miles so
traveled during any calendar month, nine cents (9C) per mile
for the next three hundred fifty miles traveled during any
calendar month and six cents (6t) per mile for each.mile in
excess of five hundred miles traveled during any calendar month.
