expressing~lappreciation for the services of, and

affection felt for
CARL 0. WEDBERG
Alhambra District Manager, The Edison Company
WHEREAS, Carl 0. Wedberg is exemplary of the best in the great American
dream--i.e., a man having started from the bottom and ris ng-to-
an executive position by hard work and self education, having
started his career with Edison as a Groundman, then Meter Reader,
in 1923 and progressing up the ladder to District Manager; and
WHEREAS, his, easy manner and Eisenhower-like smile have endeared him
to all he meets and has assisted many times in solving problems
or Rosemead ciitizens by whom he is known as "Mr. Edison"; and
WHEREAS, he has assisted the City of Rosemead by facilitating commercial
and industrial development in this City; and has served faith-
fully on the Economic Development Committee of Rosemead
since its inception; and
WHEREAS, his involvement with civic betterment, charity and service
clubs has been constant and dedicated; and
WHEREAS, after 46 successful years with his company, Mr. Wedberg will
retire;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the members of the City Council, for
the citizens of Rosemead, express their deep appreciation to
Mr. Wedberg for his unselfish work in behalf of Rosemead and
wish'him a long and happy retirement.
