RESOLUTION NO. 70-93
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROSEMEAD WELCOMING PRESIDENT DARIO LOPEZ
RODRIGUEZ AND THE DELEGATES OF THE CITY OF
ZAPOPAN ON THEIR OFFICIAL VISIT TO THE CITY
OF ROSEMEAD.
WHEREAS, the people of the City of Rosemead have
heretofore joined with the people of the historic City of
Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico, in a Sister City relationship;
and
WHEREAS, for the past five years this relationship
has caused and continues to promote a cultural exchange for
the furtherance of good will, friendship, understanding and
mutual respect; and
WHEREAS, in an effort to obtain real understanding
between the peoples of our world, the cities of Rosemead and
Zapopan offer to each other the brotherly love and fellowship
between two different cultures; and
. WHEREAS, the City of Rosemead at this time is
honored to have guests of the highest esteem visiting from
the City of Zapopan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
