A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROSEMEAD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ABANDON
PORTIONS OF ZONE 3. OF THE ROSEMEAD STREET
LIGHTING DISTRICT AND APPOINTING A TIME AND
PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE,
DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Said City Council hereby declares its
intention to a aanndon those certain portions of Zone 3 of the
Rosemead Lighting District, the boundaries of which are set
forth and described in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof by reference.
Section 2. January 30, 1962 at the hour of 8:00
o'clock P.K at the City. Council Chambers, 8815 East Valley
Boulevard, Rosemead, California, is hereby appointed as the
time and place for hearing protests in relation to the proposed
abandonment.
Section 3. The City Clerk of the City of Rosemead
is hereby erected to cause to be posted along all streets in
said portions of said Zone 3 proposed to be abandoned, not
more than 300 feet apart, and to cause to be published by two
successive insertions in the Rosemead Review, a weekly news-
paper published and circulated in the City of Rosemead, a
notice to read as follows:
"CITY OF ROSEMEAD
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ABANDON
PORTIONS OF ROSEMEAD STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT
ZONE 3
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on January 9, 1962,
the City Council of the City of Rosemead duly
adopted Resolution No. 62-1, a resolution declaring
the intention of said City Council to abandon
centain portions of Zone 3 of the Rosemead Street
Lighting District. Reference is hereby made to
said resolution on file in the office of the City
Clerk, for the description of the boundaries of
the portions proposed for abandonment and for
further particulars with respect thereto.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN HEREBY that the City
Council of the City of Rosemead will conduct
a public hearing on the proposed abandonment on the
the 30th day of January, 1962 at 8:00 o'clock
P.M., in the City Council Chambers, 8815 East
Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California, at which
time and place any persons may appear before said
City Council and protest or otherwise show cause
why such portions of such assessment district
should not be abandoned.

Such publication and posting of said notice shall be completed
at least ten days before the date set for the hearing of protests.

Section 4. The abandonment proceedings herein re-
ferred to are being conducted concurrently with proceedings for
reinstitution of the portions of Zone 3 proposed for abandonment
hereunder, as Zone 5, and as portions of Zones 2A and 4 of the
Rosemead Street Lighting District. Reference is made to the
report with respect to proposed improvements in such Zone 5, and
to Resolution Nos. 62-2, 62-4 and 62-6 adopted January 9, 1962,
on file with the City Clerk of the City of Rosemead, for further
particulars with respect to such reinstitution proceedings.
