A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROSEMEAD ESTABLISHING ROSEMEAD.STREET
LIGHTING DISTRICT ZONE 5 AND ORDERING STREET
LIGHTING IMPROVEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE;
DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City Council heretofore on December. 26,
1961 ordered the making and filing of a report pursuant to the
provisions of Part 1 of. Division 14 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California, and
WHEREAS, on January 9, 1962, pursuant to such order
of the City Council a written report was filed with the City
Clerk relating to a proposed street lighting improvement within
a new zone to be designated Zone 5, and
WHEREAS, on January 9, 1962 said City Council duly
adopted Resolution No. 62-2, being a resolution declaring its
intention to order the proposed street lighting improvement
and to establish Rosemead Street Lighting District Zone 5 com-
prising the area proposed to be assessed for such improvement,
and
WHEREAS, on January 9, 1962 said City Council duly
adopted Resolution.No. 62-3 appointing a time and place for the
hearing of protests in relation to the proposed street lighting
improvement and the establishment of the proposed Rosemead Street
Lighting District Zone 5, and
WHEREAS, notice of the time and place for hearing such
protests was duly published and.posted as required by law, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place
City Council considered and passed upon
denied any such protests and thereupon
proceed with the proposed improvement,
appointed therefor said
all protests filed and
acquired jurisdiction to
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That the improvement proposed in said
report and in tTesolution No. 62-2, viz., the installation,
maintenance, operation, repair, replacement, power, electric
current, care, supervision and all other items necessary for
the proper installation, maintenance and operation of such
street lighting system, together with all necessary appliances
and appurtenances thereto, be made.
Section 2. ..Rosemead Street Lighting District Zone
5 is hereby created and established, the boundaries of.which
are described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
Section 3. The proposed improvement shall continue
for a per.io commencing February 1, 1962 and ending on January
4, 1971.
Section 4. The estimated cost of the proposed
improvement for-.the portion of the year from date hereof to
June 30, 1962 is $0.00.
The estimated cost of the proposed improvement for
the first full fiscal year commencing July 1, 1962 and ending
June 30, 1963 is $7,803.00.
Section 5. The City shall bear portions of the
estimate cost as follows:
. For the portion of the year ending June 30, 1962 and
for the year ending June 30, 1943 - 50% of the cost of install-
ation of said street lighting system.
The remainder of the cost of installation and all
other estimated costs shall be borne by said district,, Zone 5.
. 'Section 6. The general fund of the City of Rosemead
is hereby estgnated for the payment of any costs to be borne
by the City hereunder. The City may advance to the district
from said fund the portion of the cost chargeable to the
district until said district Zone 5 has received sufficient
funds from taxes to complete reimbursement of such advance.
