RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROSEMEAD REQUESTING THE DIVISION OF
HIGHWAYS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO
PROVIDE ACCESS TO ROSEMEAD BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the residents and owners of property in
that portion of the City of Rosemead lying southerly of
the San Bernardino Freeway, westerly of Rosemead Boulevard
and northerly of Garvey Avenue have no means of access to
Rosemead Boulevard for northbound automobiles at any point
between Garvey Avenue and said San Bernardion Freeway, and
. WHEREAS, the residents of said portion of the
City of Rosemead are unduly and unreasonably inconvenienced
by such lack of access, due to the necessity of traveling
indirect, inconvenient and circuitous routes in order to
obtain access to Rosemead Boulevard,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That this City Council hereby requests
the Oivisio~Fiighways of the State of California to
provide a means of automobile access to Rosemead Boulevard
for northbound traffic, between the San Bernardion Freeway
and Garvey Avenue for that portion of the City of Rosemead
lying westerly of Rosemead Boulevard, southerly of the San
Bernardino Freeway and northerly of Garvey Avenue.
Section 2. That certified copies of this resolution
be transmit-' te~y the City Clerk to the Division of Highways
of the State of California, Senator Richard Richards and
Assemblyman Montivel Burke.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of
March, 1962.
