A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD RE ENFORCEMENT OF CHAPTER
2176, STATUTES OF 1961, RELATING TO MOBILE
HOMES AND MOBILE HOME PARKS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Section 18010 of the Health and Safety
Code of the State of California provides that any city
may assume the responsibility of the enforcement of the
provisions of Part 2 of Division 13 of the Health and
Safety Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, this City Council heretofore, by Resolution
No. 62-20 adopted February 27, 1962., assumed the responsibility
for such enforcement and directed a certified copy of such
resolution to the Division of Housing of the State of California;
and
WHEREAS, said Division of Housing claims not to have
received such resolution and a question has arisen as to whether
the city's assumption of the responsibility for said enforcement
has become effective; and
k'HEREAS,.the City of Rosemead has heretofore appointed
the Los ngeles County Health Officer as the Health Officer of
the City of Rosemead and has empowered said Health Officer to
enforce in the City all laws, ordinances and regulations relating
to public health; and
WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the City
to again provide for the assumption of responsibility of the
enforcement of the provisions of Part 2 of Division 13 of the
Health and Safety Code of the State of California,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Rosemead does hereby assume the
responsibility of the enforcement of the provisions of Part 2 of
Division 13 of the Health and Safety Code. The City Clerk is
directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the
State Division of Housing.
Section 2. The Los Angeles County Health Officer is
hereby designer for the purposes of this Resolution as City
Health Officer and is hereby delegated the powers, responsibilities
and duties of enforcing the provisions of Part 2 of Division 13
of the Health and Safety Code, as well as the powers, duties and
responsibilities of coordinating between the various City Depart-
ments and contractual agencies the inspection and regulation of
mobile homes and mobile home parks. In consideration of the
performance of the aforementioned services and as compensation
therefor, the County of Los Angeles shall retain all fees re-
ceived under and pursuant to the provisions of Part 2 of D:i.vision
13 of the Health and Safety Code.
Section 3. The effective date of enforcement under the
provisions of-this resolution shall be April 15, 1963.
