CC - 1964 - 18 - Protesting Alcoholic Beverage License at 8902 E Valley9 • RESOLUTION NO. 64-18 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD PROTESTING THE ISSUANCE OF AN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LICENSE AT 8902 EAST VALLEY BOULEVARD THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the proposed location for an Alcoholic Beverage License at 8902 East Valley Boulevard is located 550 feet from a public school, and WHEREAS, the proposed location is within 375 feet of the proposed County Regional Library, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemead feels that the City is presently saturated with locations dispensing alcoholic beverages and public convenience and necessity does not require the issuance of further licenses, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,.that the City Council of the City of Rosemead finds and determines that the issuance of an Alcoholic Beverage License for 8902 East Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, would be detrimental to public interest and contrary to the efforts of this City Council to upgrade and improve the community, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemead hereby protests the issuance of an Alcoholic Beverage License for 8902 East Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, and respectfully requests the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to deny the appli- cation for such license, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemead hereby requests that the hearing on this matter be held in the City Council Chambers, 8815 East Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, RESOLVED FURTHER, that a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. 1964.
