AGAINST SAID ANNEXATION, AND THEREOF. CIL OF THE TENTION TO t ION OF XATION NO. 24" TERRITORY AND PROTESTS GIVING NOTICE WHEREAS, a petition and supplemental petition have been filed wherein it is proposed to annex certain territory described in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, to the City of Rosemead; and WHEREAS, said territory is now and has heretofore been designated as "Annexation No. 24;11 and WHEREAS, said petition and supplemental petition are signed by not less than one-fourth of the qualified electors residing within said territory as shown by the county registration of voters; and WHEREAS, said petition contained a description of said new territory proposed to be annexed, and requested that said territory be annexed to the City of Rosemead; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rosemead: Section 1. That it is the intention of this Council to call a special election for the purpose of submitting the question of annexation to the electors residing in the territory proposed to be annexed, to wit: the territory designated as °Annexation No. 24" consisting of all the territory described in Exhibit "A." Section 2. Said territory shall be designated as and referred to upon election ballots as Annexation No. 24.10 Section 3. That any person owning real property within said territory may appear before this Council on the 30th day of June, 1964, at 8:00 P.M. at the Chambers of the City Council located at 8815 East Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, Cali- fornia, concerning written protest against the annexation filed pursuant to California Government Code Section 35120. Section 4. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this' resoUtion to be published and written notice given as required by California Government Code Section 35119. Section 5. Resolution No. 64-43, adopted May 26, 1964, is hereby rescinded.
