RESOLUTION NO. 65-1
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD DECLARING INTENTION TO
SUBMIT THE QUESTION OF ANNEXATION OF
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION NO. 27"
TO ELECTORS RESIDING IN SAID TERRITORY AND
SETTING A HEARING FOR WRITTEN PROTESTS
AGAINST SAID ANNEXATION, AND GIVING NOTICE
THEREOF
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed wherein it is
proposed to annex certain territory described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and incorporated'herein by reference, to the
City of Rosemead; and
WHEREAS, said territory is now and has heretofore been
designated as "Annexation No. 27"; and
WHEREAS, said petition was signed by not less than
one-fourth of the qualified electors residing within said terri-
tory as shown by the county registration of voters; and
WHEREAS, said petition contained a description of said
new territory proposed to be annexed, and requested that said
territory be annexed to the City of Rosemead;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Rosemead:
Section 1. That it is the intention of this Council
to call a special election for the purpose of submitting the
question of annexation to the electors residing in the territory
proposed to be annexed, to wit: the territory designated as
"Annexation No. 27" consisting of all the territory described in
Exhibit "A".
Section 2. Said territory shall be designated as and
referred to upon election ballots as "Annexation No. 27".
Section 3. That any person owning real property within
said territory may appear before this Council on the 26th
day of January, 1965 at 8:00 p.m. at the Chambers of the City
Council located at 8$15 East Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, Cali-
fornia, concerning written protest against the annexation filed
pursuant to California Government Code Section 35120.
Section 4. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a
copy of t iT si-resolution to be published and written notice given
as required by California Government Code Section 35119.

All that property in the County of Los Angeles, St tc or' California;
bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the easterly lino of the Southern
California Edison Company Right of Way, as said Right of Way is sh--..n
on map of Record of Survey filed in Book 30, pages 15 through 7.0•.
inclusive, of Record of Surveys, in the office of the County Rccnrder
of said County with the southerly boundary of the City of Rosemsad, as
said boundary existed on July 21, 1964, said point of intersection being
also the southwesterly corner of Lot 155 of Tract No. 122,92, as per map
recorded in Book 245, pages 39 through 41, of Maps, in the off`:ce of
said Recorder; thence southerly in a direct line to the northeasterly
corner of Parcel 41 of said Southern California Edison Co:rpa;;y Right of
Way and which corner is also in the westerly line of Rockhold Avenue,
60 feet wide, as said Avenue is shown on the map of Tract 11391,
as per map recorded in Book 205, pages 12 and 13 of Maps, in the office
of said Recorder; thence southerly along the westerly line of said .
