RESOLUTION N0: 65-14
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD SUPPORTING THE PRINCIPLE
OF DIVULGING NAMES OF JUVENILES IDENTIFIED
WITH MAJOR CRIME.
WHEREAS, the number of crimes by juveniles has been
on the increase in this County as well as in the United States,
and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that one of the only
effective curbs upon the matter of juvenile crime is to reawaken
parental responsibility and to reduce the practice of sheltering
and coddling the delinquent involved,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Rosemead that this Council supports in principle the
practice of divulging the names of juveniles identified with
major crimes of violence and brutality and the divulging of the
names and addresses of the parents or legal guardians responsible
for such juveniles.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Rosemead is directed to furnish certified copies of this
resolution to the members of the Los Angeles County Board of
Supervisors.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 23rd day of
February, 1965.
