RESOLUTION NO. 65-70
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD DECLARING INTENTION TO
SUBMIT THE QUESTION OF ANNEXATION OF
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION NO.
25-A" TO ELECTORS RESIDING IN SAID
TERRITORY AND SETTING A HEARING FOR
WRITTEN PROTESTS AGAINST SAID ANNEXATION,
AND GIVING NOTICE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, a petition and supplemental petition have
been filed wherein it is proposed to annex certain territory
described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference, to the City of Rosemead; and
WHEREAS, said territory is now and has heretofore
been designated as "Annexation No. 25-A"; and
WHEREAS, said petition and supplemental petition
are signed by not less than one-fourth of the qualified
electors residing within said territory as shown by the
county registration of voters; and
WHEREAS, said petition contained a description of
said new territory proposed to be annexed, and requested
that said territory be annexed to the City of Rosemead;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Rosemead:
Section 1. That it is the intention of this Council
to call a spec~a election for the purpose of submitting the
question of annexation to the electors residing in the territory
proposed to be annexed, to wit: the territory designated as
"Annexation No. 25-A" consisting of all the territory described
in Exhibit "A".
Section 2. Said territory shall be designated as
and referre to-upon ~ election ballots as "Annexation No. 25-A".
Section 3. That any person owning real property
within sai 'territory may appear before this Council on the
26th day of October, 1965, at 8:00 P.M. at the Chambers of
the City Council located at 8815 East Valley Boulevard,
Rosemead, California, concerning written protest against the
annexation filed pursuant to California Government Code Section
35120.
Section 4. That the City Clerk is directed to cause
a copy of W is resolution to be published and written notice
given as required by California Government Code Section 35119.
