CC - 1966 - 18 - Rosemead School District Tax Override ContinuationW-1 0 'f RESOLUTION N0. 66-18 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD ENDORSING THE ROSEMEAD SCHOOL DISTRICT TAX OVERRIDE CONTINUATION WHEREAS, the Rosemead School District has proposed that the maximum tax rate of $1.75 per $100. of assessed value, be extended for a period of 10 years, and WHEREAS, a tax override continuation election on such measure has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 20, 1966, and WHEREAS, the Rosemead School District proposes no tax increase, and no increase in the existing maximum tax rate, and WHEREAS, the Rosemead School District has heretofore demonstrated its ability to hold the actual tax rate of the District below the authorized tax override, and indicates that this policy will continue in the future, and WHEREAS, the continuation of the existing maximum tax rate is essential in order to provide the necessary funds for the proper education of the youth of the Rosemead School District. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That this City Council endorses the tax override continuation election scheduled for September 20, 1966 in the Rosemead School District, and publicly expresses its wholehearted support of continuation of the present maximum tax rate for the next 10 years, as being in the best interest of the citizens of Rosemead.
