RESOLUTION No.. 66-45
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROSEMEAD REQUESTING AN ALLOCATION FROM
COUNTY AID TO CITIES FUND FOR THE ACQUISITION
OF RIGHT OF WAY"AND CONSTRUCTION OF CURBS,
GUTTERS, CROSS GUTTERS, AND RECONSTRUCTION
ON WALNUT GROVE AVENUE FROM GARVEY AVENUE TO
HELLMAN AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has appropriated
certain monies to the City of Rosemead, from County Aid=to
Cities Fund, and
WHEREAS, the City of Rosemead now desires to budget
the expenditure of certain of these monies, and
WHEREAS, proposed improvements are of general interest
and a Major City street is involved which is included in the
County Master Plan of Highways,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED
Section 1. That the County of Los Angeles is hereby
requested to allocate the sum of $17,427 from County Aid to
Cities Fund to the City of Rosemead for the purpose of acquisi
tion of right of way and constructing curbs, gutters, cross
gutters, and the reconstruction of the street with base and
paving on Walnut Grove Avenue from Garvey Avenue to Hellman
Avenue, a distance of 0.50 miles.
Section 2. Upon approval of this allocation by the
Board of supervisors, it is requested that the Road Department
make said funds available to the City of Rosemead for the
payment of the aforementioned construction.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 14th day of
June, 1966.
