RESOLUTION NO. 67-25
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD REQUESTING THAT THE PUBLIC
UTILITIES COMMISSION GRANT PERMISSION TO THE
PASADENA CITY LINES TO EXTEND THEIR BUS
SERVICE WITHIN THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD TOTHE
NEW COMMERC!AL CENTER AT ROSEMEAD BOULEVARD
AND MARSHALL STREET
WHEREAS, the City of Rosemead is presently
undergoing significant commercial development, and
WHEREAS, there has-recently. been opened a
new commercial shopping area in the City of Rosemead, and
WHEREAS, the Pasadena City Lines provide trans-
portation within the City of Rosemead at the present time.
but said existing service extends only to the intersection
of Rosemead Boulevard and Valley Boulevard, and
WHEREAS, there are persons using the public
transportation system who desire to shop not only in the
fine stores in the vicinity of Rosemead Boulevard and Valley
Boulevard, but also to shop at the new commercial center at
Rosemead Boulevard and Marshall Street,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City
of Rosemead does hereby request that the Public Utilities
Commission grant permission to the Pasadena City Lines to
extend their existing bus service so as to provide trans-
portation within the City of Rosemead to the new commercial
center at Rosemead Boulevard and Marshall Street.
RESOLVED FURTHER that copies of this resolution
be forwarded to the Public Utilities Commission and to the
Pasadena City Lines.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 28th day of
March, 1967•.
