CC - 1967 - 041 - Opposing ACR 40 and AB 23060 0 RESOLUTION N0. 67-41 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD AB 2306. CITY COUNCIL OF THE OPPOSING ACR 40 AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, adequate means are provided by law for full accounting for expenditures, and audits of the bo;,ks and records of the Southern California Rapid Transit district, and WHEREAS, the $3.9 appropriation heretofore made by the California State Legislature, has enabled engineering studies and plans for a rapid transit system in Southern California to be undertaken and that work is now in progress, and WHEREAS, ACR 40 is not necessary and AB 2306 would disrupt the studies that have been undertaken and the progress and planning for an effective rapid transit systc:m, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rosemead hereby expresses its opposition to ACR 40 and AB 2306 as disruptive of planning for vitally needed rapid transit system, and wasteful of time, effort and public funds, and urges the members of the state legislature not to support such resolution and bill.. RESOLVED FURTHER that copies of this resolution be certified by the City Clerk, and forwarded to the State Senator and Assemblyman from this district, to the members of the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County, and to the Southern Calif- ornia Rapid Transit District.
