CC - 1967 - 050 - Commending Timothy ColletRESOLUTION NO. 67-50 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD COMMENDING TIMOTHY COLLET WHEREAS, the City of Rosemead wishes to honor the bravery of TIMOTHY COLLET and to express its appreciation and gratification for the assistance given by TIMOTHY COLLET to the law enforcement officials in this City; and WHEREAS on June 12, 1967, an armed robbery occurred at Kang's Market, $449 Mission Drive, in the City of Rosemead, and WHEREAS, shortly after the armed robbery had taken place, TIMOTHY COLLET and four other San Gabriel Valley youths were informed of the robbery, and, alerted by screams coming from the neighborhood, TIMOTHY COLLET and his companions pursued one of the armed robbery Suspects through the neighborhood, and succeeded in apprehending and holding the armed robbery suspect until the arrival of Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriffs: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Rosemead, State of California, extends its highest commend- ation to TIMOTHY COLLET for his alertness and bravery in appre- hending and holding the armed robbery suspect; its gratitude to TIMOTHY COLLET for the aid and assistance given by him to the law enforcement officials of this City; and, its belief that the future of this country is well placed in the hands of his generation of which he has shown himself to be such an outstanding member; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this commendation be sent to the Sheriff of Los Angeles County, Peter J. Pitchess; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this commendation of TIMOTHY COLLET be permanently recorded upon the records of this City as a continuing recognition by the City Council of his outstanding achievements.
