A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE
SPECIAL ANNEXATION ELECTION HELD IN THE COUNTY
OF LOS ANGELES, KNOWN AS CITY OF ROSEiIEAD
"ANNEXATION N0. 34" ON THE 17TH DAY OF OCTOBER,
1967, DECLARING THE RESULT THEREOF AND SUCH
OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, a special annexation election was held and
conducted in the County of Los Angeles, State of California,
in the area known as City of Rosemead "Annexation Area No. 3411,
on Tuesday, the 17th day of October, 1967, as required by law; and
WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly
given in time, form and manner as provided by law; and voting
precincts were properly established; that election officers were
appointed and that in all respects said election was held and
conducted and the votes cast thereat, received and canvassed
and the returns made and declared in time, form and manner as
required by the provisions of the Elections Code of the State
of California for the holding of elections; and
WHEREAS, on the 24th day of October, 1967, at the hour
of 8:00 o'clock p.m., the City Council duly assembled at its
usual place of meeting and has canvassed the returns of said
election and as a result of which, the City Council finds that
the number of votes cast and other matters required by law to
be as stated hereinafter;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That there were two (2) voting precincts
establis e or the purpose of holding said election consisting
of consolidations of the regular election precincts in the County
of Los Angeles as established for the holding of state and county
elections.
Section 2. That at said Special Annexation election, the
following measure was submitted to the electors, to wit:
Shall "Annexation No. 34" be annexed to the City of
Rosemead?
Section 3. That the whole number of votes cast in said
election except absent voters ballots) was 904.
That the whole number of absent voter ballots cast in
said election was eleven (11) making a total of nine hundred
fifteen (915) votes cast in said election.
Section 4. That the number of votes given at each precinct
for and against the measure were as follows:

Section 5. The City Council does declare and determine
that:
As a result of said election, a majority of the qualified
voters voting on said measure relating to Annexation Area
No: 34 did not vote in favor thereof, and that said propos-
ition was not carried.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall enter on the records of
the City ounce of said City, a statement of the result of said
election showing:
1. The whole number of votes cast in the election;
2. The measure voted upon;
3. The number of votes given at each precinct for and
against the measure;
k. The number of votes given in the election for and
against said measure.
Section 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage an-3'aroption of this resolution; shall enter the same
in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make
a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of
the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes
of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted,
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 24th day of October,
1907.
